Bottles of Water Delivered to Hokey Park
It is a wonder how one person’s generosity can help hundreds or even thousands of people. Ruby Falk, (he was the town butcher) hasn’t personally taught thousand’s of kids how to play baseball, but his donation of $2000 in 1958 enabled the purchase of the seven acres of land which is now the Hokendauqua Park and Playground. That first $2000 was a seed that has grown into an organization that has been staffed by many volunteers over the past 50 years.
Holencik Roofing LLC appreciates the opportunities given to the kids in the area by HPPA and has donated a palette of bottled water to be sold at the concession stands during this years baseball season. You can visit the website of The Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association for more information on youth baseball, softball and basketball, pavillion rentals or volunteer opportunities.
